OMBU - Collaborative Presentation Software
Reframed authoring/presenting as a single, shared, real-time process, allowing structure, narrative, and content expertise to emerge collaboratively through conversation.
Software Product
Collaborative authoring for rich-media web storytelling
Context
OMBU is a browser-based platform for authoring and sharing rich-media, content-driven web experiences. It evolved from fieldwork developing interactive presentations with clients, where time with subject-matter experts was limited, and iteration cycles were costly. The project formalized a workflow for authoring narratives and structures, and presenting them directly in real time, during stakeholder discussions.
Role
Concept, Creative Direction, Information Architecture, UX/UI, Product Framing.
Outcome
Developed a collaborative authoring framework that enabled teams to assemble and refine rich-media presentations directly in the browser, reducing iteration time while improving alignment with stakeholder expertise. The platform incorporated a “detail-in-context” navigation layer to support non-linear exploration without loss of orientation, and was adopted by SelfDesign and other clients for courseware and training delivery.
